I'm not flexible and haven't tried yoga. Is Thai Bodywork for me?


Yes! No yoga experience needed. Thai Yoga Bodywork is for everyone and provides much of the same tension relief without stepping on the mat! It is an excellent way to increase circulation, flexibility and mobility. For those who have restricted range of motion due to tight, stiff muscles and people who suffer from painful hips, low back and/or shoulders (If you spend long hours at a desk, I'm talking to you!), Thai Yoga Bodywork can dramically improve your well being. I work on each body based on the current situation and you will be able to notice increased flexiblity and mobility after each treatment.




I have a chronic condition. Am I able to benefit from Thai Yoga Bodywork?


Absolutely! Each treatment and customer is unique. We will discuss any concerns or ailments prior. Of course, it's always wise to consult your physician, who has a deeper understanding of your condition.




How is Thai Yoga Bodywork different from other massage techniques?


Traditional Thai massage is performed on a thick mat, on the floor, rather than on a massage table. It is a holistic approach to the body, addressing both the physical body, with deep stretches, and the energetic body. You will relax while I move your body into various postures. No lotion is used.




What should I wear?


You’ll stay fully dressed and will be most comfortable in loose or stetchy clothes, like leggings or sweats.




Why does Thai Yoga Bodywork take place on the floor?


Thai Yoga BodyWork is performed om a firm mat on the floor. I use my every part of my body, fingers, hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure. I also use my body to twist and stretch to give enough flexibility back to a body. I consider the floor a gift of gravitational force which can support both my body and yours.




What is Thai Yoga Bodywork?


Thai Yoga Bodywork is an ancient form of healing dating back 2,500 years. During our session, I will apply pressure along the body’s energy lines using a combination of static and rhythmic pressure. The body is moved into various positions to stretch, lengthen and open both physical and energetic constrictions. Thai Yoga Bodywork affects the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, bringing balance to the body, and is therapeutic on many levels.

Typically considered to be from Thailand, this unique massage modality also has origins that trace back to India, Burma, Laos and Cambodia.
